Getting Started in Sushi Simulator

Welcome to Sushi Simulator, a game focused on managing your own sushi restaurant and preventing it from going bankrupt. The game operates daily from 10 AM to 11 PM, during which customers will arrive to order sushi. Each midnight, an income statement is displayed to show the shop's financial performance.

Upon your first playthrough, a 59-slide tutorial automatically guides you through the basics, though each slide contains only 1-2 sentences. You can revisit this tutorial by clicking the grey "?" icon in the lower right corner of the screen after completion.

Core Gameplay Mechanics

Understanding the fundamental mechanics is crucial for running a successful sushi shop.

Cooking Sushi

Cooking is central to Sushi Simulator. You begin making sushi by clicking on the sushi counter. As you create sushi, you gain Cooking XP, which increases your Cooking Level and unlocks new recipes. Higher levels also grant access to different cooking counters, such as the Orange Counter at Level 40 and the Lavender Counter at Level 75. Sushi preparation consumes energy, which must be managed. Sushi pieces despawn after 2 minutes on the conveyor belt, so maintaining an appropriate conveyor speed (2-3 is recommended) is important to ensure food reaches customers.

Cleaning

Maintaining a clean restaurant involves washing dirty dishes and cleaning the front store window. There are two sinks available for dishes, and you can hold a maximum of 500 plates. Cleaning one plate earns you a penny. The front window frequently gets dirty, indicated by a brown appearance, and requires multiple attempts to clean thoroughly. Cleaning also consumes energy.

Energy Management

Energy is required for most tasks, including cooking and cleaning. Your energy bar, located at the bottom of the screen, depletes as you perform these actions. Once energy reaches zero, you cannot cook or clean until it's restored. You can regain energy by sitting on the couch or chairs in the break room, with the sofa offering the fastest free recovery. Coffee, costing $14 for 10 bags, can also be used to restore energy.
